Our last release party of the Subcrew x Vans OTW was held last Friday in Hong Kong, and thank you very much for those who came. This release parties, from Beijing, to Chengdu, and then Hong Kong, was very successful because of the hard work and contribution from all the staff. It was a very meaningful night not because we are all from Hong Kong and the support from friends and family, but also the party is on Canton Road, same as our headquarter in Hong Kong. I hope that this pair of Subcrew x Vans OTW can show you guys the story and spirit behind it.

Spring 2012: Crew by Subcrew

Our main design element for Crew by Subcrew is always simple. For this spring collection, all the shirts and pants are mainly plain in order to mix and match to be simple flavor.

In material aspects, we have chosen canvas as the main material. And the tone to tone embroidery “Crew” on the chest, as well as the engraved “Crew” on the bottons. It is simple, but not sloppy. How can you not have these items in your closet?

Vans OTW x Subcrew Chengdu Release Party Highlights

Last Saturday was the release party of our Subcrew x Vans OTW collaboratoin, and it was very successful. The party went very well because of everybody’s contributions, and “UNITY IS POWER” was strongly felt once again. Thank you very much for everyone’s hard work.

The next stop of this release party is Hong Kong, see you all in Hong Kong!

First Asia Product Collaboration For Subcrwe x Vans OTW

It’s been 2 years, from design to the final sample of the Asia’s first product collaboration for Subcrew x Vans OTW, and it is finally released on March 2 last friday in Beijing and will be in all our UNITY stores and selected Vans store on March 10.

For this Subcrew x Vans OTW project to come true, the most important is that we have very similar backgrounds. We both have the elements of skateboarding, music, art, and fashion. And Vans is our favourite skateboarding shoes when we were young, the reason that we chose Alomar is that this shoes not only can skateboard, but also perfect for usual day to day wear and very fashionable.

The fact that this is the first pair of collaboration in the whole Asia, and this year is the year of Dragon, so we chose the colour red for this pair of shoes. And in particular, we chose to have horse hair, crocodile skin to match the characteristics o dragon. In addition, Canton Road is known worldwide because it is a shopping paradise. However, Canton road is very long and it is also where our Subcrew headquarter is located. Therefore, we printed “the CANTON ROAD” on the insole. As we are a local Hong Kong brand and to have the opportunity to collaborate with Vans and release the first product collaboration in Asia is a dream come true to us. I hope this project can promote the skateboarding and streetwear culture, as well as our core believe “WE ARE THE SUBCREW” and “UNITY IS POWER”.

Spring 2012: Subcrew Shirt

As one of the iconic brand in Hong Kong, we have released a series of collaboration items and some special edition items, Subcrew Spring 2012 collection is now gradually in stores. Other than the mesh caps, a couple pieces of cut and sew button shirt are now available.

Of course we have more items coming up, and will be posted here very soon.

Subcrew New Items

For our Spring 2012 collection, other than our Sub by Subcrew Valentine’s edition, we have release two black/white mesh caps. These black/white mesh caps are classic colours, and we put on our classic slogans “WORKING BELOW THE HYPE” and “WE ARE THE SUBCREW”. Hope you guys will like them.

Instagram Day

For the past couple of weeks, I have been busy organizing my wedding, and that’s the reason I didn’t update the blog. However, I have been using instagram a lot. Firstly because it is easy to use and don’t need to write so much, also I love to take pictures and that’s why I have my camera with me all the time. iphone is my daily essentials and that’s the reason there is at least one post of “instagram day” every month.
