The year 2012 sure is a very busy year. Right after Subcrew x Stussy x Clot and Subcrew by mikli x PHANTACi, we are now launching the 2nd Subcrew by mikli collection, “TAKE A LONG WAY HOME”. The main theme and purpose of this “TAKE A LONG WAY HOME” collection is to let you have lots of fun cruising around in your car wearing Subcrew by mikli eyewear. This collection comes in 5 different styles naming with parts of vehicles as STARTER*, SHAFT*, CYLINDER*, ROTOR*, and CLUTCH*. Hope you guys will like them!

Chinese new year holidays have been over for awhile, and I have picked up work right away and didn’t have much time to update the blog. During Chinese New Year, it is the only period of time that I can totally rest. And that’s when I get really lazy, really lazy to a point that I didn’t want to bring my Canon 5D with me. But I carry my iphone with me all the time, and the application instagram is indeed very handy.

It was great that DC invited our SUBCREW team to their launch party in Shanghai. DC has finally come to China!!! I was a little upset to see so many nice snowboarding gears from DC because I didn’t have a chance to go snowboarding this year. I was just too busy. French eyewear designer Alain Mikli continues to establish a strong presence within the Asian market with its latest collaborative project for an early 2012 release. Building upon the past projects with Hong Kong’s Subcrew, the latest venture sees the inclusion of Jay Chou’s retail store PHANTACi to release a new style of sunglasses, branded the “MR. SAY.” Combining the label’s like-minded mentalities, the result is a minimalist pair of black-framed sunglasses that reflect the understated style preferences of the label’s founders. These sunglasses will hit shelves beginning January 21 at all UNITY and PHANTACi stores.
